First in-person WDA-A conference since Covid!

Over the last week (27th Nov to 2nd Dec 2022) members of our team attended the Wildlife Disease Association Australasian section's annual conference in Kinglake, Victoria. It was a fantastic conference with a great turnout. The program included 3.5 days of talks, a Welcome to Country by Wurundjeri elder Ian Hunter, a field trip day to Healesville Sanctuary, a Media workshop, a Student Chapter run Trivia night, an auction and awards night (with 80 silent auction items and 10 live auction items raising several thousand dollars for the student chapter), the WDA-A Annual General Meeting, and a spotlighting evening. Much fun was had by all and it was wonderful to be able to catch up with everyone in person again!

Dr. Laura Grogan gave a presentation on 'Infection tolerance to amphibian chytridiomycosis' on the Friday morning which was very well received. As Chair of WDA-A she also ran the AGM on the Thursday, and helped with aspects of conference organisation, including technical support and time keeping.
